Abstract

The paper intends to define a theoretical field whose philosophical basis allows us to consider the aesthetic dimension in ecology teaching about the natural environment. The data illustrate and sustain some arguments, from interviews with ecology teachers and pre-service science teachers from undergraduate courses in Biological Science of Unesp Bauru and Rio Claro, in 2004.
