The present study focuses on this question: What is the relationship between Environmental Education courses offered by the Curitiba Municipal Network - Paraná - to Early Education teachers and their consequences in teaching practice with the children? This study was carried out in 10 Municipal Centers for Early Education, using: documentary analysis, a semi-structured interview and observation of an Environmental Education practice. For the interpretation and analysis of the data, we used content analysis, and two categories were elaborated: the relation between theory and practice in continued education, and the restraints and possibilities for the accomplishment of Environmental Education in Early Childhood. It was possible to understand that Continued Education needs to provide the Child Education professional with moments of discussion, reflection and research.
