Abstract

GROTZ, Euge et al. Comprehensive Sex Education and Gender Perspective in Biology Teacher Training: an analysis from the students' point of view. Ciência educ. [online]. 2020, vol.26, e20035.  Epub Sep 09, 2020. ISSN 1980-850X.  https://doi.org/10.1590/1516-731320200035.

This article offers an analysis of the University of Buenos Aires Biology Teacher Training students' views on the presence/absence of Comprehensive Sex Education and gender perspective in the offered program. In particular, it explores the views that the interviewed subjects have about their experiences as students throughout their general training (Bachelor’s Degree and Teacher Training). It is based on a corpus of six in-depth interviews carried out with advanced students. They were analyzed using the constant comparative method. We found that the interviewees identify recent actions to incorporate this perspective, though only in some subjects of the education track and by some specific teachers. They also demand more hours of classes on CSE and gender perspectives, as well as content on human anatomy and physiology.
