Abstract

MALEBRAN, Mariano Eliseo Rodríguez; QUINTANILLA-GATICA, Mario Roberto  and  MANZANILLA, Miguel Angel. The Attitudes of Teachers of Natural and Social Sciences towards Teaching Online Inquiry Competencies and their Underlying Factors in the Use of the Internet. Ciência educ. The attitude of the teaching staff is one of the factors affecting the integration of new technologies into the classroom. With that in mind, we ask ourselves: how do the attitudes of teachers of natural and social sciences towards teaching online consultation skills and their underlying factors influence the use of the Internet? 33 teachers from 18 public schools in a city of Chile, associated with the joint project between Chile and Finland, AKA EDU03, participated, applying a Likert questionnaire. After a multiple correspondence analysis, age was shown to be a factor associated with teachers' attitudes to teaching online consultation skills, which is an interesting finding for further research, particularly today in attitudes related to the COVID 19 pandemic, which demands greater effort from teachers in using technologies in remote teaching, assessment and learning formats.
