Abstract

FIORESI, Claudia Almeida  and  SILVA, Henrique César da. Folk science, science communication and Science Education: elements of circulation and textualization of scientific knowledge. Ciência educ. [online]. 2022, vol.28, e22049.  Epub Oct 28, 2022. ISSN 1980-850X.  https://doi.org/10.1590/1516-731320220049.

In this article we present a theoretical model that takes Science Dissemination as part of a broad process of production, circulation and textualization of scientific knowledge. Thus, we articulate the work of Ludwik Fleck, an author in the field of epistemology, and that of Authier-Revuz, an author in the field of language. With Fleck, we seek to understand the textual characteristics and epistemological roles of different texts in the production of scientific facts, deepening his notion of popular science. With Authier-Revuz, we highlight aspects from a discursive point of view for Science Dissemination. Our perspective criticizes unidirectional views on Science Dissemination and highlights the constitutive role of this type of textualization in the production and maintenance of scientific knowledge, in bidirectional movements between science and the public. This theoretical articulation proved to be useful to reflect aspects of Science Dissemination, the place it occupies both socially and epistemologically in the production of science, and to derive implications for Science Education.
