This article is an answer to the current proliferation of scientific papers and news in the media about the need for transitions (energy transition, green transition, ecology transition…) in order to face the serious problems that affect contemporary societies. While taking into account the ensemble of problems that determine the present situation of planetary emergency, the main purpose of our research has been to establish, with the help of numerous and well-founded studies, which measures are needed to make possible the transition to sustainable and satisfactory conditions of life, i.e., which ensemble of particular transitions should shape the Transition to Sustainability.
