This article analyzes the practices and policies representations of the females paraiban educators along de year of 1930. Theoretical and methodologically, it supports itself on the new cultural history and on the gender concept to reveal, historically, records, accounts and documents about a part of the political, teaching and literary performance of the female educators, commonly obliterated on the historiography of that time. The sources utilized are journalistic articles spread by the newspaper A União, the official Paraiban Estate press. The study of the documents signalizes that the political practices of such educators promoted, in a tactics way, changes in the standards and in the female imaginary of the Old Republic, and their engagement with the facts taking place at the time provided the visualization of an increasing female participation in the public sphere post-1930.
