In order to analyze the national system of evaluation of the teaching through standardized exams and applied in wide scale it is important to understand the logic, premises or conceptions that we have about State. This way, the present article deals, at first, with the constitution of Evaluative State, that proposes public politics of neoliberal form; soon after, it presents a brief analysis of how the education has been suffering with the consequences of the politics of neoliberal form and how the external evaluation goes in the direction of this State. Finally, it points out how the study of the place - the school - can contribute so that the actors of the educational process accomplish its work, as the evaluation, in a more reflexive and conscious way.
