The article aims to contribute to the discussion about the assessment of post-graduation. Based on discussions held by the academic community in relation to the assessment of post-graduate adopted by CAPES, subsidies were searched for a policy that includes assessment of the diversity of knowledge produced. At the end some thoughts are presented on the challenges that are placed at the post-graduation and researchers to improve evaluation mechanisms.
