Man created many ways read and write throughout history and continues to do so in a constant process of transformation; men create instruments, and represent them as mediators of meaning in time and culture. Man has created a new text support, the hypertext, which spawned changes in our social environment. In this context, the present article aims at discussing how technology can transform the 21st century’s readers´ mode of thinking by eliminating the borders between author and reader, who were traditionally thought of as opposites.
