Nonformal education has been identified as a valid instrument and as a potential social change possibility within the overall conception of education especially after its insertion and recognition as an educational area in official documents and as an object of relevant educational articles. The practice of such specific education has been investigated and it is has been considered as an educational possibility face to the crisis of school education debate. Other alternatives in doing and promoting education are being validated and gaining political space, status a new area of educational knowledge and legitmation in opposition to what is or was considered under crisis. This is the creation moment, not of the practices, but the concept of nonformal education.
