This article aims to highlight the importance of conceptual design in childhood’s teacher education. Explores the relationship between teacher’s knowledge and his research, demonstrating the need for philosophical reflection in this context. Thus, it emphasizes the importance of knowing the classical authors that influenced the construction of the childhood’s concept until the Philipe Aries, considered a modern classic in the historical and social study of childhood.
