In this article I analyze the Magazine of Education, published for the professors of the old Normal School of Piracicaba (SP) between 1921 and 1923, with the objective to understand by means of the analysis of the cycle of life, the materiality and the content of the periodic one as the professors were being formed in this period. This research was carried through under the perspective of Cultural History, based in Roger Chartier. This referencial takes the printed matter in its cultural object materiality if worrying about the practical ones that they produce it and the uses that are made of them. As final considerações, I  verify that the Magazine of Education functions as publishing strategy, as material support of the practical pertaining to school and as device of pedagogical normatização that had for objective to form the primary professor with the spreading of the educational ideas proposals for the Reformation Sampaio Dória and that thematic and the set to know boarded for articles formed a cultural model of teaching formation that was divulged for the Magazine of Education.
