Abstract

The text provides theoretical and practical contributions based on academic experience in teaching through the subjects of Teaching of Higher Education and Internship in Teaching. It aims to reflect on teacher education within the university context and the importance of the discussions for teacher training. Some important elements of the learning process will also be discussed, including an analysis of the curriculum and teaching and also the assessment process. Experience points to the need to prioritize a grounded, critical teacher education based on social and political commitment.
