Abstract

During 2010 research entitled “The teachers and the implementation of nine-years Elementary School” was developed. One of the intentions of the research was to perceive how much space was/is given to the teacher in discussions that involved/involve the implementation of the new Basic Education pattern. For this purpose, questionnaires were given to teachers from public and private schools in a town in the north of Santa Catarina, and two issues were selected, about which teachers were asked to answer whether they had received any guidance and whether they had any doubts. The results indicate that most of the teachers received some type of guidance, especially in their own school environment from the actions of managers, educational meetings or sparse/brief conversations in the hallways, between partners. However, many questions remain, especially on content and methodologies.
