The study presents the results of the state-of-art publications on gender and sexuality published in the proceedings of the National Association of Graduate studies and Educational research Associação Nacional de Pós-Graduação e Pesquisa em Educação - Brasil. As discussed in this article, the studies focused on the analysis of the teachers' attitude regarding sexual diversity at school discussed in the Work Group 23. The documental corpus of this research refers to the period from 2004 to 2011. The selected studies show that the teachers' attitude regarding the manifestations of homosexuality or homophobia at the school's environment is unstable and they seek to maintain compulsory heterosexuality.
