Abstract

BERTI, Andreza Oliveira. Pedagogical reflections on cinema. Educ. Puc. [online]. 2015, vol.20, n.1, pp.41-49. ISSN 1519-3993.  https://doi.org/10.122015/edupuc377112854.

The aim of the article is to reflect on the pedagogical power of cinema with the goal to associate two cinema gestures: to see and to do. Regarding the gesture "see", we start from the concept of the emancipated spectator of Jacques Rancière as the trigger for analysis and debate. When the students are approximate of the filmographies diversity produced along the history of the movies, we enabled the discussion about the political, ethical and aesthetic choices of filmmakers. In the process of making movies, we chose the three intellectual operations suggested by teacher Alain Bergala - to elect, to dispose and to attack - which interact among themselves during the filming process. Through a literature review that includes the field of cinema and education, we sought to present audiovisual experiences that could expand activities developed with the cinematographic materials in the classroom.
