The theme of the present paper is the relations between health and education. By clipping, it discusses psychopathological diagnosis and its effects on the current knowledge in special education. From a dialogue with the book by Umberto Eco, The Infinity of Lists, we understand that the rationalities oscillate between circular logic - where the nomination mirrors the real thing that it purports to reveal - or incomplete logic, i.e. in the impossibility of knowing everything, we can only list, catalog, enumerate. Different enunciative positions print different school pathways, paving different destinations for the knowledge produced in special education, as well as for students, schools and teachers.
