GODOY, Eliete Aparecida de  e  ALMEIDA, Alessandra Rodrigues de. The management of a teaching system recontextualized from participatory strategic planning . Educ. Puc. [online]. 2015, vol.20, n.2, pp.117-126. ISSN 1519-3993.  https://doi.org/10.1590/edpuc20n201505.

Since the end of the twentieth century, much has been written on democratic management of schools, which was first introduced in Brazil by the 1988 Federal Constitution and the 1996 National Education Guidelines. Participatory democratic management normally focuses on the participation of parents, community, teachers and students in the administrative life of the school as well as in the collective discussion and preparation of the Political Pedagogical Project, although it is undervalued by the teaching systems. In this paper, we present an experience report and discuss the Participatory Strategic Planning as the main structuring component of democratic management within the educational system and schools, as well some of the results obtained. The theoretical framework was based on the studies of Boaventura S. Santos e Leonardo Avritzer, Heloísa Lück, Carlos Matus, Djalma P. R. Oliveira, Sofia L. Vieira, Vitor H. Paro, Moacir Gadotti and Gilnei L. Moura. The aim of the study is to contribute to the debate about democratic management in public education. The process of recontextualization of educational management indicates that activities such as the reorganization of administrative structures and participatory practices can involve the active participation of individuals when assessing and discussing everyday challenges, which makes relevant features for the implementation of local educational policies more visible.
