Abstract

MENIN, Maria Suzana de Stefano; TREVISOL, Maria Teresa Ceron; ZECHI, Juliana Aparecida Matias  and  BATAGLIA, Patrícia Unger Raphael. Successful educational projects on socio-moral values: Contributions to the school routine. Educ. Puc. [online]. 2017, vol.22, n.1, pp.01-17. The aim of the article is to describe and analyze some projects on moral education or socio-moral values in schools deemed successful. The empirical basis of the article was an investigation that sought to identify Brazilian experiences of moral education in public primary schools (6 to 9 years) and secondary education. We found that the vast majority of projects presented isolated initiatives without clear moral purpose, more related to disciplinary control of students than the construction of values. However, there were exceptions: projects based on the identification of daily school problems and surroundings; the engagement of community and families; student participation as partners and active participants of activities. We found that Moral Education and Education of socio-moral values, can, must and may take place in public schools and in other Brazilian schools. In order achieve this goal, school projects need a clear intention, professional planning, participation of faculty and students, continuous and long-term application, and adequate training.

Keywords : Education of socio-moral values; Moral education; School; Successful experiences..
