This article is the result of part of a research conducted by the research group School, Curriculum, Training and Teaching, from a Graduate Program in Education. The aim was to analyze the repercussions about the conditions of the establishment of Emergency Programs regarding the teaching practice of teachers to be developed in public schools in municipalities in the state of Maranhão. These programs are considered the expression of certain government actions that comprise the inventory of Brazilian educational policies, guided by improvement actions in Basic Education. The study focuses on the training process during the course in Education. The method adopted was qualitative and 12 course participants, from three educational centers located in different geographic regions, were invited to participate in the study. In addition to the documentary and bibliographic research, questionnaires with open questions were used to understand the expectations and perceptions about the course. The analysis was supported by the studies of Diniz Pereira (2011), Brzezinski (2011); Freitas (2012), Oliveira, Vieira (2012), among others. The research revealed some success concerning the appreciation of education professionals, as well as the possibility of expanding knowledge about teaching; however, it revealed a persistent crucial problem regarding programs for the training of teachers who are in the teaching profession, that is, the poor work conditions necessary for the training process.
