Abstract

DENTZ, Marta von  and  SILVA, Roberto Rafael Dias da. A historical analysis of intervention strategies of Social Work in school policies. Educ. Puc. [online]. 2018, vol.23, n.2, pp.237-249. ISSN 2318-0870.  https://doi.org/10.24220/2318-0870v23n2a4024.

This article addresses an analysis of the intervention strategies of social work in school policies, emphasizing, above all, the historical constitution of these strategies. For the purposes of the research, the following problems were considered: how did social work interventions occur in school policies? In what way did social work interventions occur in their constitutive process? Regarding the methodological aspects, this qualitative research contemplates the analysis of different documents, historical books, as well as texts regulating the professional context of social work related to basic education. It is argued that the historical constitution of the relations between social work and education has caused significant changes of emphasis on the political rationalities that simultaneously indicate the intervention strategy of social protection interrelated with individual, therapeutic and community intervention strategies, thus establishing important changes in the constitutive process.
