This paper aims to analyze the social representations that deaf women make of themselves and the effects of these representations in the construction of their identities and, in a specific way, to illustrate the concept of feminism that they have. The research is a qualitative, intertwined with the Theory of Social Representations, focusing on the representations that deaf women make of themselves, that is, on the way in which they elaborate and share significant and constructive symbologies of their identities. In turn, the theoretical bases of this research come from the following epistemic fields: Feminism, Deafness and Social Representations. Final considerations shed light on the views of deaf women about feminism and social representations of their identities: presupposed, from the invisibility, exclusion and prejudice that others narrated to them, and metamorphosis, with empowerment, in the recognition of their differences and in their valorization.
