Abstract

SILVA, Bruna Emilyn da; FERREIRA, Adriano Charles  and  ROSSO, Ademir José. Social representations of teachers in Child Education in relation to teaching wear. Educ. Puc. [online]. 2021, vol.26, e215109. ISSN 2318-0870.  https://doi.org/10.24220/2318-0870v26e2021a5109.

The article discusses, through the social representation theory, specifically the dimensional and the structural approaches, the social representations of Early Childhood Education teachers about the working conditions that cause teachers’ fatigue. Information was collected from a questionnaire (n=116) answered by teachers of Early Childhood Education in the city of Ponta Grossa (Paraná). The analyses were performed with the support of the softwares Evoc, Simi, Alceste, and a content analysis was also performed. It was found that the major origin of the fatigue constituent elements are: (a) the physical and material working conditions; (b) the structure and functioning of Early Childhood Education, which requires investments to improve working conditions; and (c) the lack of teachers as a factor that reveals Early Childhood Education as a secondary stage in relation to the meanings of teaching.

Keywords : Teaching work conditions; Teaching. Early childhood education; Malaise.
