PEREIRA, Patrick  y  DELLAZZANA-ZANON, Letícia Lovato. Intervention program for the promotion of the adolescent life purpose. Educ. Puc. [online]. 2021, vol.26, e215296. ISSN 2318-0870.  https://doi.org/10.24220/2318-0870v26e2021a5296.

Having life purposes refers to having a central goal in the future to which it is possible to progress through efforts in the present moment. Evidence indicates that adolescents who have life purposes have higher rates of positive affect such as happiness, life satisfaction, hope for the future, and psychological well-being. The objective of this study was to elaborate and apply an Intervention Program, based on Positive Psychology, for the promotion of life purpose in high school adolescents. Eighteen 3rd year high school students from a public school in the interior of São Paulo participated in the study. Eight 50-minute meetings were held. The instruments used were Sociobiographic Data Sheet and a Scale to evaluate adolescents life purposes. The data were analyzed through content analysis, following the mixed categorization model. The results showed that the Intervention Program provided reflections on the future in medium and long term in order to contribute to the construction of the purpose and promoted an approximation between the adolescent and his family. The Intervention Program presented in this study proved to be a contribution to the area of Positive Psychology and can be applied in schools that want to promote life purposes of their students.
