Abstract

NUNES, Natália de Borba; CAMARGO, Maria Cecília da Silva  and  MELLO, André da Silva. Another point of view on routine: space-time and daily life in childhood education. Educ. Puc. [online]. 2022, vol.27, e225436. ISSN 2318-0870.  https://doi.org/10.24220/2318-0870v27e2022a5436.

This work presents the tension between routine and daily life in an Early Childhood Education class in a city school in the central region of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The objective was to understand the process by which daily life manifests itself in the school routines through the transformations led by the children. The observations and records produced in the field during the interactions with the research subjects showed that children transform the pedagogical routine through games and unforeseen interactions. These ruptures conflict with the organization of space-times thought by adults for the functional routine of the school, generating a dissonance of interests. Among the results, we highlight that the delicate relationship between the adult and children’s space-times in the daily life of Early Childhood Education, in addition to the veiled rush of literacy processes, hinders a sensitive listening that accepts the contributions of children and their multiple expressions.
