This work aimed to analyze the health theme in competencies and skills in the Physical Education field of the Brazilian National Curricular Base and its relationship with the Sustainable Development Goal 3 of the 2030 Agenda of the United Nations. For that, a documental analysis of the following productions was carried out: 1) the National Curricular Common Base; 2) The document “Transforming our world: the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development”, and; 3) “Thematic Documents: Sustainable Development Goals”. As a result, it was found that health is still a topic little explored in the guiding document, especially in the competencies and curricular units of Physical Education in elementary school - early years. However, it seems to move towards an expanded vision of health, in line with the precepts of the 2030 agenda and Sustainable Development Goal 3, in line with public healthcare policies.
