This work aims to reconstruct the research-oriented formative processes expressed during the university degree in the career of Educational Sciences within the framework of the chair teams. We methodologically assumed the study of cases, reconstructed through documentary analysis, in-depth interviews and class observations. In this sense, we present two chair teams with teaching and research functions of the Education Sciences career, namely, Argentine History of Education and Didactics I. The results contribute to identifying an elective territory during the university degree education, which we call Research initiation classroom, an area in which students are gradually introduced into the real praxis of science in the company of a team with teaching and research functions.
