FROSSARD, Matheus Lima; POLETO, Fábia Maria Boreli y SANTOS, Wagner dos. The curriculum of undergraduate physical education courses: implications for teaching assessment. Educ. Puc. [online]. 2024, vol.29, e2413649. ISSN 2318-0870. https://doi.org/10.24220/2318-0870v29a2024e13649.
The research analyzes the syllabi of three undergraduate courses in Physical Education, aiming to understand how the theme of evaluation is addressed in these curricula. It is characterized as a qualitative, descriptive, and exploratory study. It uses critical-documentary analysis (Bloch, 2001) and the Iramuteq software for the classic lexicographical analysis of the texts through descending hierarchical classification. The results show that at Escola Superior São Francisco de Assis, evaluation is treated sporadically and mainly associated with physical and sports performance, without a specific discipline dedicated to educational evaluation. At Faculdade Vale do Cricaré, the subject “Methodology of Evaluation in Physical Education” maintains a focus on body and anthropometric measurements, reflecting a traditional view of evaluation. At Universidade de Vila Velha, there are two subjects that address both educational evaluation and physical measurements. The discussion highlights the need for a more critical and reflective approach to educational evaluation in undergraduate Physical Education courses, considering the school as a field of action and, consequently, the specificities of evaluating this discipline in that context. It emphasizes the need for prescribed curricula to include the teaching of evaluation concepts, methods, and techniques, adapting them to the school context.
