Globalization means the change of the human condition in all its dimensions. Globalization leads every day life and ethics making compulsory the reflection on the concepts of a new person/citizen and of a new culture, in a multicultural society in which all the different cultural, economic and political environments match together everywhere all around the world. In this understanding, the educational projects must fit in social projects in order that the changes seen as possible with the globalization process can be assessed as positive changes and seen as an opportunity to the humanity. So, it emerges an ontological understanding of citizenship as a condition of the human nature, very close to the concept of becoming a person. Identity and sense of belonging is not a heritage. Identity and sense of belonging must be a construction within the global digital technological society in which everyone must develop a sense of being digital with all the complexity attached to this concept to which new competences need to be developed. This might be the main principle of education within and outside of the school.
