Abstract In the context of the learning society it is important to invest in teacher education programs that combine the use of ICT to educational theory and practice once that to work with technologies and the internet demands the teacher new roles as a curriculum organizer and as a mediator of the learning process. In this article we present a study developed with a group of 10 pre-service teachers of Portuguese Language who attended an education course in Multimedia Education in 2nd semester of 2007/2008. The intent of the course was to develop the teachers’ skills in technology integration as well as a pedagogical philosophy that values student- centered tool-based teaching. In small groups students developed and published online a curricular assignment for their future school classrooms using Web 2.0 tools. The learning artifacts as well as students´ opinions on the learning experience are presented and discussed
