Abstract This work studied the use of blogs and podcasts as an educational resource in the learning and improvement process of English as a foreign language in elementary, in presence, education. It analyzed all the potential they represent in the development of the learning process and at the same time characterized the strategies for their application in the teaching and learning process. It was intended to verify to what extent these tools allow the promotion of interactivity and practical, collaborative and cooperative work in the English Language and if they are able or not to reduce class magistrality and promote the language itself among students. On the other hand the students’ results were also evaluated, as well as the quality of the resources developed and used, namely, the blog and the activities created for the classes and for content presentation. At a more specific level there was an attempt to improve the students` results and educational success as well as their proficiency in the English language.
