Resumen

OLIVEIRA, Walas Leonardo de. As tecnologias da informação e comunicação e a intensificação do trabalho docente. Educ. Form. Tecnol. [online]. 2010, vol.03, n.01, pp.84-95. ISSN 1646-933X.

This article seeks to understand the relationship between Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and the intensification of teachers' work. Based on a recent Masters thesis from Federal University of Minas Gerais, the narrative analyzes the research on teachers’ work and ICT in Brazil. This article presents and discusses four hypotheses for the increasingly intensification of teachers' work who teach high school in public and private schools and integrate ICT in the classroom. In the end, the narrative points to the fact that the intensification of teachers' work is a constant element in the work process of these individuals. Therefore, teachers should know and critically review the use of ICT in the classroom, especially of computers and the Internet, so they can gain greater control over their own work process and ensure a better position in the conflict between capital and labor.
