BARROS, Daniela Melaré Vieira; OKADA, Alexandra  and  KENSKI, Vani. Coletividade aberta de pesquisa: os estilos de coaprendizagem no cenário online. Educ. Form. Tecnol. [online]. 2012, vol.05, n.02, pp.11-24. ISSN 1646-933X.

This paper discusses colearning through online education based on the concept of an open research community. This discussion is contextualized within the network society where information communication technology plays a key role in various dimensions of daily life. In this context, formal and informal colearning will be essential in the development and exercise of social skills, cultural, cognitive, both for technological skills and competences for the citizenship in this Digital Age of Knowledge. The school must first be guided by the improvement of learning opportunities focusing on autonomy and collaboration, in which learners are co-authors able to search for knowledge, make their choices of their learning pathways and styles, freedom for creating opportunities for co-construction and be active in their life. The main objectives of this reflection are to identify the elements and characteristics of the open research community in the theory of Learning Styles; understand the relationship between Learning Styles and Open Collective Research, and conceptualize styles of coaprendizagem. The descriptive analysis was developed grounded on the literature as well as the reflections and discussions of the participants during the European project OpenScout. The results present a framework of colearning styles, which will be applied to a qualitative research with colearners of Online Education. It will be the next step to be developed as future investigation during the next European project weSPOT. This study is part of the work done by the Community Colearn that integrates several institutions in the project Tool - Library of the Open University / UK.
