The high investment for the acquisition of educational tablets takes place in a context characterized by the various official speeches in favor of the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in teaching. This work, which is part of a Master's thesis, aims to verify if teachers throughout the state of Minas Gerais Network of Education (REE/MG) who received educational tablets in the second half of 2013, are using it and what their perceptions of this technological equipment. For the research, which was based on qualitative approach were applied questionnaires and carried out semi-structured interviews with five teachers from different disciplines of the final years of elementary school and high school, who worked in the REE/MG. The analyzes show that there is an absence of continuing education for teachers who received the educational tablets; Internet connection difficulties at school and that teachers consider this slow technological equipment. In this sense, it seems clear that there are several obstacles to the proper use of this resource in the classroom.
