Tourist activities in Brazil have attained great expansion, mainly in the areas of ecological tourism. This article Written based on Dias Considerations in enviromental Education; principles and practice and Ruschman’s book Tourism in Brazil; analysis and tendency, Though those bibliographic analyses it was possible to observe the importance of promoting the enviromental Education either in the formal sense on the informal, and also relating the production of knowledge to the enterprising tourist activity. Thus, it a reflection on the value and use of science and knowledge as on orientation tool to establish the basis of sustainable development which must involve the various dimensions, such as, the economical, social, cultural and enviromental ones.
