Abstract

We started from the concept that it is indeed possible to imagine education without isolation in educational fields and subjects (the disciplinary model), an education that is open to more than sporadic partnership between teachers (the interdisciplinary model); an education that could offer more than a theme worked across the curriculum in isolated disciplines (the National Parameter transversal model); an education where even the grades could be questioned. We present in this paper an experience that led students to experimentation with images after reading Morte e Vida Severina, by João Cabral de Melo Neto, literature worked also in geography classes. We will present our work with images in three stages, disciplinary, interdisciplinary and transversal, and we will defend the third as the one that allows more involvement and leads to the creation of educational projects, nowadays. In this project we highlight a growing emphasis on the organization of knowledge involving time, space and society, going beyond the definitions themselves. Technology, as an analytical tool, as an expression of knowledge and experimentation, leads to possible shifts and an overflow of the senses. After all, what is the sertão, migration, mandacaru, caatinga? Who was Lampião? We propose, with the philosophy of Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari, the rejection of vertical and horizontal lines in curriculm, in favor of fluxes that could go any direction, without previous hierarchy, rhizomathic; in favor of pulverization, of multiplicity, of interests and difference; in defense of the use of the image as a possibility of endless and multiply comprehensions in education.
