Resumen

The text reflects upon the institutionalization of modern education by taking Foucault’s concepts of discipline, disciplining society and biopolitics as its main guiding threads. Departing from this reflection on the formation of the modern educational institution, understood as the object of a historical research temporally localized, the text then aims at questioning the transformations that occurred in the last decades and that have transformed the modern educational project with the event of what could be called as control pedagogy. This aspect of the matter was discussed by means of Foucault’s concepts of governamentality and biopolitics as well as Deleuze’s concept of control society. Besides offering a diagnosis of the present, the text also provides an essay on the possibilities of an education process centered around the notions of difference and queer pedagogy.
