Study the concept of writing which can be inferred by Vygotsky’s and Leontyev’s theories. The authors did not elaborate a finished concept of writing. However, Vygotsky’s experiments for the study of writing development, his conceptions about the higher psychological functions and signs systems and tools, as well as Leontyev’s Activity Theory, contribute to formulate a writing and literacy conception. Introduce the etnographics observations in a literacy class, in order to investigate the relationship between the five-year-old child and the writing. The research problem is the meaning of literacy from the earliest childhood, supported by Vygotsky (2000), and how it is working in a classroom.
