This study addresses the intentions and implications of the research consortium in the context of both quantitative and qualitative research. We understand that a research consortium is characterized as a single study that encompasses different lines and goals, and it is also led by different researchers. The consortium of quantitative research allows accessing a greater number of individuals in the target population, reducing the time necessary for data collection time and optimizing resources. In education qualitative research, the consortia aim to expand the approaches and the depth of the study, also trying to achieve multidimensionality on a specific research field.
