Abstract

BUENO, Luzia; MASCIA, Márcia Aparecida Amador; DALLAN, Maria Salomé Soares  and  NARDINI, Mateus Roncada. "Once upon a time there was a deaf cinderella": an analysis of the re-reading of the classical, in signwriting. ETD [online]. 2015, vol.17, n.2, pp.355-376. ISSN 1676-2592.  https://doi.org/10.2592/EDT17N2A20150009.

The proposal of this paper is to present an analysis of the bilingual book (Libras/ Portuguese Language) "Deaf Cinderella." The aim is to compare the version in Portuguese Language and the textual content in Sign Language, pointing to some deletions that were noticed in relation to the history content. The theoretical framework lies on Bakhtin/Voloshinov's and Bronckart's genre studies. The analysis showed the necessity of bringing to the new productions, not only the formative elements of this genre, perceived in the two versions, but that there be a better consonance between the two languages, when trying to reproduce the effect of meaning experienced through the narrative, by its different readers.
