Abstract

MANTOAN, Maria Teresa Egler  and  LIMA, Norma Silvia Trindade de. Notes on inclusion, school and difference. ETD [online]. 2017, vol.19, n.4, pp.824-832. ISSN 1676-2592.  https://doi.org/10.20396/etd.v19i4.8646274.

In Brazil, school inclusion has been being understood according to disparate conceptions. Some of these conceptions contradict the true meaning of inclusion and void its potence to transform education. On those Notes, we consider it to be relevant to adopt difference in itself, as proposed by Gilles Deleuze, as the structural axis for inclusive education. Initially we will discuss the critic to classical representation, highlighting Deleuze’s understandings. Following, we will approach the role of a school for everyone and its educational processes, notably teaching and learning, based on the concept of difference. Our intent with this study is to contribute on forging other perspectives of understandings and to inspire pedagogical practices that ensure the right to difference on the context of today’s school education in Brazil.
