Resumen

VAZQUEZ, Manuel Gándara. MEANINGFUL DISSEMINATION OF KNOWLEDGE AS AN ESTRATEGY OF EDUCATIONAL COMMUNICATION. ETD [online]. 2018, vol.20, n.3, pp.662-679. ISSN 1676-2592.  https://doi.org/10.20396/etd.v20i3.8651720.

The meaningful dissemination of knowledge is a heritage education strategy, developed in Mexico from the tradition of environmental and thematic interpretation that started in the national parks of the United States and then spread to many countries around the world. It inherits from it the importance of aligning discourse around a small set of main ideas to communicate; but complements it with elements developed specifically for cultural heritage, derived from anthropology and history. It argues that generating a conservation culture requires a commitment on the part of our audiences that starts when they establish an emotional link to heritage. Its theoretical foundations are explored and illustrated with a project currently under development.

Palabras clave : Heritage Education; Mexican Archaeology; Meaningful Dissemination of Knowledge; Thematic Interpretation; Meaningful Learning.
