Abstract

The aim of this study was to investigate the quantity and quality of academic publications about school violence, specifically about the bullying phenomenon, in brazilian journals in the field of education, in Portuguese language, classified as A1 extract of the Qualis - CAPES 2014 index. It was found 26 journals which met the criteria defined. A research was conducted in these 26-journal digital collection searching for the words "violência" (violence), "agressividade" (aggressiveness), "agressão" (aggression) and "bullying" in the title, abstract and subject. Articles written in a foreign language with no abstract available and classified as essays were excluded, reaching 297 articles. By reading the abstracts, those about the educational framework were selected, identifying the ones about the bullying theme. These 14 articles were read in full for a qualiquantitative analysis.
