Resumen

KLAUS, Viviane. ECONOMY, POLITICS AND EDUCATION: SCHOOL CLASSES AS SMALL SPACES OF OPENNESS TO THE WORLD. ETD - Educ. Temat. Digit. [online]. 2019, vol.21, n.3, pp.607-625.  Epub 23-Sep-2019. ISSN 1676-2592.  https://doi.org/10.20396/etd.v21i3.8654689.

From a brief contextualization of the contemporary political scenario, which has been going through conservative movements, this essay seeks to discuss politics in its different dimensions, going beyond the reason of State and the functions of government in its articulations with Education. To this end, it provides a historical contextualization of economy and politics, based on Arendt's reflections, namely on these works: “The human condition” (2008) and “What is politics?” (2007). In addition, this essay approaches some relations between economy, politics and forms of governance of the population - which is an important key for analyzing contemporary society and the challenges concerning the educational field. Finally, from Deleuze and Guattari's concept of “minor”, this paper reflects on school classes as a possibility of openness to the world, as democratic, political, and welcoming places to the new generations, and as contexts of production of new forms of existence.
