The use of the Internet has been increasing among the elderly. Therefore, it is necessary to build specific skills, such as Internet Security and Privacy, the focus of this study. The article aims to map and analyze this competence in elderly participants of a course of digital inclusion of a University. The methodology was qualitative and quantitative. Twenty-four elderly people, aged 67 years, participated. Data were collected from participant observations and questionnaire. The results indicated a high index regarding Digital Literacy (at the beginning of use). However, there is a need to develop Digital Literacy and Fluency so that it is possible to use the Internet more safely and maintain privacy in the virtual environment.
