Abstract

The present article describes the results of a psychoanalytic research / intervention through the report of a case study of an elementary school student from a public school in the state school of Itabira-MG. The student presented had learning difficulties and impasses in the school sphere faced through the medicalization process. In contrast to medicalization, the case aims to demonstrate the contribution of one the procedures adopted in this research: the Clinical-Pedagogical Diagnosis (DCP), which intervention analyses what teenager teaches the educator about its uniqueness and about the particularities that impact on their relationship with knowledge and the social ties engendered in school. The results obtained through the DCP allowed us to understand the impact of the advent of adolescence on relations with school knowledge and the possibility of using theoretical and practical approaches that allow subjects to act on their problems.
