Abstract

DIAS, Josimeire Machado  and  SANTOS, Tarsis de Carvalho. THE ENTRELACE OF CARICATURE WITH BÉZIER'S CURVES. POSSIBILITIES FOR TEACHING COMPUTER GRAPHICS. ETD - Educ. Temat. Digit. [online]. 2021, vol.23, n.4, pp.1079-1097. ISSN 1676-2592.  https://doi.org/10.20396/etd.v23i4.8659701.

This article aims to report a Pedagogical Practice carried out with 28 students of the discipline Computer Graphics II, from the Design course at the State University of Bahia - UNEB, held in the second semester of 2019, in Salvador, Bahia. The observations were based on a qualitative approach of a descriptive nature of the Experience Report type. The elaboration of the Practice was motivated by the teaching difficulties faced in the design of the six disciplines of Computer Graphics in the Design course, which when presenting themselves as subservient subjects to the other disciplines of the course caused an emptying in the presentation of contents, considered fundamental for the performance of the designer. The Practice called “The intertwining of caricature with the Bézier curves” contributed to a change in the teaching and learning process instituted in the discipline, presenting as main results the increase of the collaboration in the classroom, the protagonism of the student and the teacher in the exchange strategies beyond what was suggested, elaboration of products with greater commitment and the transcendence of the productions in the classroom to other spaces, that allow the dissemination of the activities developed in the course.
