Abstract

The work is part of an inter-institutional research in which the Group of Studies and Research Pedagogy of Paulo Freire (GEPPF) researched the production of dissertations and theses that presented greatest contribution of Paulo Freire to educator training. The research tried to select the abstracts of theses and dissertations that emphasized Paulo Freire. The research began with the reading of abstracts to observe the relevance of the theme, then the selection of studies that have come closer to Freire's ideas and the critical analysis of Freire's fundamentals. From this perspective, the methodology aimed at analyzing the complete production on the studies basis of Freire's works, highlighting the categories that mostly addressed to teacher training, whether initial, continuing or permanent. Thus, the analysis sought to critically reflect each category, from the practical movement (action-reflection-action). The results showed the significant presence of Freire, under the reinvention perspective of ongoing formation.
