The Pedagogy of Learning Contexts, presented in this paper, seeks to bring together in a single body of knowledge all the theories and practices for the design and deployment of educational solutions applicable to learning environments of all kinds, face-to-face, virtual or blended, interactive, or not, technology enriched, or not, teacher-controlled, or not, conditioned, or not, by the sociological realities at play. The paper clarifies the main concepts, theories and practices of our proposal, advocating, for the design of learning environments, an approach inspired in those followed by design professionals. To conclude, we present three genuine cases of learning contexts we have developed and researched in agreement with our proposals. We believe that the pedagogy of learning contexts is a central research and practice topic for education and learning in the twenty-first century
